The 2026 law school commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026
Tickets are NOT Required and there are no limits on guests.

For those who are unable to attend the ceremony in person, the ceremony will be livestreamed. The livestream link will be shared the week of commencement, allowing you to join and celebrate this special event remotely.
Flowers: Interested in flowers for your grad? Preorder online through Floral Sunshine and pick up your order outside the ceremony entrance on Commencement day. Pickup will be available for two hours before the start of each ceremony. Note: To guarantee your order, please place your online order by May 1.
Day of the Ceremony Information
Arriving: Please plan to arrive between 9:00-9:45 am for our official 10:00 am start time. We encourage you to carpool or use a ride service, if possible, because parking will be limited. Please allow plenty of time to park in one of the four parking areas: Upper Griswold, Lower Griswold, Fir Acres, or at the Law School.
Pamplin Sports Center is located above Griswold Stadium. Please follow the signs that will lead you to Pamplin main entrance doors.
Graduating students will be lining up between 8:30-10:00 am and will be unavailable during that time for photos, etc.
Ceremony: The ceremony will last approximately two hours. Individual photos will be taken as each graduate receives their diploma and in front of a backdrop as they leave the stage. The photos will be available for purchase later.
Reception: Immediately following the ceremony, guests are invited to a brief outdoor reception outside the Pamplin Sports Center, featuring a celebratory pour of sparkling wine or Martinelli’s cider and a selection of cookies.
Family Pets: We adore our dogs, cats, and other pets, but we kindly request that you leave your family pets at home the day of the commencement ceremony.
