Those members of the class receiving the LLM degree wear gold cord. Those receiving the master of studies in law degree wear dark green cord. Students wearing silver cord have earned Latin honors. Members of the Cornelius Honor Society wear purple cord. Those who have earned Community Service honors wear royal blue cord. Students who have earned Pro Bono honors wear light blue cord.
Members of the class who served on the Animal Law Review wear cord of purple and forest green. Those who served on the Environmental Law Review wear cord of green and white. Students who served on the Lewis & Clark Law Review wear cord of black and orange.
Veterans and members of the U.S. Armed Forces wear cord of red, white, and blue.
Graduates also may wear cords or stoles representing their academic focus, affiliations, and activities.
