Randi Johnson is currently the Chief Growth Officer with Gravis Law. Randi earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminology from Florida State University, and what started out as a passion on crimes against humanity turned into a passion on crimes against the environment. This led her straight to Lewis & Clark Law School, where she thought she would study nuclear energy law. Randi admits that when she started law school, she had “no grown up human experience at all,” yet she gained them quickly.
During law school, Randi clerked at the Multnomah County Public Defender’s office and on her first day, she was given two pieces of advice, which she still applies to this day:
- There is no such thing as a legal emergency. You don’t have to lose yourself in this work. Take it seriously and do your best, but there is no such thing as a legal emergency.
- Be here and recognize that it is a blessing to be here [in law school.] There are hundreds or perhaps thousands, who do not have the privilege to go to law school and have a legal career.
After successfully building her own law firm, Randi’s passion for the business side of legal services led her to Gravis Law, where she now serves as the Chief Growth Officer, assisting talented attorneys in building their practices and leading marketing and communications.
Randi is also a dedicated servant leader who actively serves on the Board of Disrupt HR Tri Cities and MothersEsq. She has previously served on the boards of Directors for the WA State Developmental Disabilities Endowment Trust Fund (a gubernatorial appointment) the National Association of Women Business Owners – NW Chapter and the Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, where she was also an Executive Committee Member. Randi is a proud Girl Scout Troop Leader, a founding member of ConnectHER Idaho, and the Co-Founder of the Spokane/CDA/Tacoma area Women Networking Group (LadyBoss), where she continues to inspire and empower women in their professional journeys.
