Tracy Sullivan

Associate Dean for Student Affairs

Legal Research Center

Born and raised in the midwest with a strong interest in social justice and conservation, Tracy went to college at Indiana University with plans to work in field sciences. During undergrad, she was inspired by the growing field of environmental law. Tracy completed her westward move to PDX to attend Lewis & Clark Law in 1997.

As a student, Tracy was very involved in the Public Interest Law Project, and competed with the Jessup Moot Court for two years. During her time at L&C, she had the opportunity to conduct research with Professor Chris Wold on issues of international environmental law. She also worked in both the private and public sector as a law clerk and studied abroad at Trinity University in Dublin, Ireland.

After graduation in 2000, Tracy served as judicial clerk to Judge Helen Frye and Magistrate Judge Ashmanskas with the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. She then moved to the Bay Area and practiced as a civil litigator until she transitioned into law school administration. Between admissions and career services, Tracy has over 13 years of experience, with over 8 years in Career Services & Professional Development.

Outside of her role as Associate Dean for Student Affairs, Tracy co-owns a real estate business that she founded from the ground up, now operated with a trusted business partner. She also enjoys exploring Portland’s unique neighborhoods and the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. You might find her with her rescue dogs (Monk, Juno and Mavis) visiting nearby food carts, playing trivia at a local spot, strolling through Southeast Portland, or camping by a lake.
