Jerry Carleton ’07 is a versatile business attorney whose professional experience ranges from corporate law to estate planning to intellectual property. As the Principal and owner of Immix Law (founded in 2011), Jerry counsels companies on corporate, finance, and securities issues. Immix Law, an Oregon-based firm with multiple offices in Oregon and Washington, serves as a catalyst for innovation by representing diverse, international, and trailblazing clientele at every stage of the business life-cycle. Representative areas of practice include corporate transactions, mergers & acquisitions, securities, employment, intellectual property, and corporate litigation.

With his firsthand experience as a successful founder/co-founder of nine companies in several industries, Jerry often provides general day-to-day business advice, adding value as a strategic business partner to entrepreneurs. He also serves as General Counsel to Billups, the United State’s largest privately held advertising technology company. Additionally, Jerry belongs to many foundations and serves on a number of boards.

Jerry entered the corporate world early, becoming President of Keen Mobility in 2000, the year before he graduated with his BA from the University of Portland in 2001. He attended the night program at Lewis & Clark Law School and earned his JD in 2007, graduating with the Special Certificate in Tax.

Jerry continues to involve himself extensively with Lewis & Clark, serving on the Board of Visitors and as a member of the Innovation Board of the Center for Business Law & Innovation. He has acted as a panelist, speaker, and moderator at law school colloquia, exploring topics such as alternative careers for lawyers and lawyer entrepreneurs. He served as an adjunct faculty professor from 2015-2016. He and his wife have also created the Immix Law Business Scholarship which pledged a donation of $100,000 to the Law School for scholarships to be granted to students interested in business law.
