Hi, I’m Jade—a recovering social worker who somehow woke up a law student, but I’m still not convinced this isn’t just a really long fever dream. Before law school, I worked several years in the mental health field, from crisis lines to hospital emergency departments. And I’ve continued to work as a therapist throughout law school. After graduation, I’d love to practice in intellectual property and media and entertainment law. But to be honest, anything novel will pique my interest.
I wasn’t crying when I was born, so I was probably thinking: “not this again…” But I’ve tried to make the most of it. I have (technically) met Tupac, skipped first grade (and never learned how to color inside the lines), I’ve been an extra in a couple of movies, spent nine months solo traveling through Southeast Asia, gone to 20+ countries, seen Mt. Everest, been canyoning, scuba diving, paragliding, and skydiving… and looking forward to the day I can mark bungee jumping off the list. I’ve moved 10 times in the last decade, and despite my best efforts, I boomerang back to Portland.
I’m an aspiring airport lounge member, Kachka lover, and a triple fire sign—which might explain everything above.
