Novice

Demonstrates initial exposure to knowledge or skills

Developing

Demonstrates understanding of knowledge or skill but requires significant supervision and significant iterative opportunities

Emerging competence

Begins to demonstrate some competence but requires some supervision and multiple iterative opportunities

Advancing competence

Demonstrates competence with some supervision and limited iterative opportunities

Practice-ready at an entry-level
