2025 Wyss Scholar: Shoshana Grossman ’26 Desires to Effectuate Change in the World of Land Conservation and Protection
Shoshana Grossman JD ’26 is one of two Wyss Scholars selected from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2025. Shoshana plans to to leverage her education to effectuate change in the world of land conservation and protection, specifically at the intersection of public lands, waters, and indigenous law.

About the Wyss Scholars Program
Lewis & Clark Law School was selected in 2017 to be part of the Wyss Scholars Program. Funded by The Wyss Foundation, a private, charitable foundation dedicated to land conservation, the Wyss Scholars Program seeks to identify and support a new generation of leaders focused on land conservation issues. Lewis & Clark is one of only a few law schools in the country selected for this program.
Two Wyss Scholars are selected from Lewis & Clark Law School each year on the basis of their leadership potential and academic strength and their commitment to furthering land conservation.

LLM Alum Publishes Article on Wild Horse Management and Tribal Sovereignty
Lewis & Clark Law School alum Elaina Erola (LLM ’26) has published a new article in the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation examining the intersection of wild horse management, tribal sovereignty, and federal public lands law. Developed as an independent research project during her LLM studies, the article explores legal and policy solutions that strengthen Tribal authority while addressing environmental and wildlife management challenges.
