Legal Practicums

Clinical internships are a great way to get valuable real-world legal experience while attending law school and taking other classes. Interns attend a weekly seminar and receive 4 hours of academic credit in exchange for at least 10 hours of work per week at a placement or organization in the Portland metro area.

Legal Practicum: Environmental and Natural Resources

Students can choose from an array of placements in the environmental or natural resources law fields, including placements with government, private, and nonprofit entities. Students are paired with a practicing environmental or natural resources lawyer in the Portland area. Placements have included many municipal, state, and federal agencies; corporations; law firms; advocacy groups; and the Oregon legislature and governor’s office.
