Adele Lau

Adele received her bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Bristol in 2014, and she was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2016. She worked as legal counsel for the then Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore, where she provided legal advice on both criminal and contractual matters related to animal welfare and cruelty, and was also involved in making legislative amendments. Now, Adele works for the Animal & Veterinary Service, a cluster of the National Parks Board of Singapore (NParks). In her role, she writes and implements policies and programmes related to animal welfare and management. She also oversees and manages NParks’ animal-assisted interventions programmes.

Adele currently serves as a board member of the International Association of Human-Animal Interactions Organizations (IAHAIO), and the One Welfare Phoenix Project.
