With over a decade of experience as an investigative environmental journalist and sustainability analyst, Cayte has conducted fieldwork in diverse ecosystems, including the Bolivian Amazon Rainforest, Guatemalan estuaries, Cuban forests, and the Andean Mountains of Peru.

Her work, featured in publications such as The Atlantic, Scientific American, Inside Climate News, and National Geographic, focuses on scientific discoveries, expeditions to study wildlife, and critical environmental debates across energy development, natural resource management, and conservation strategy.

As a fellow of both the Solutions Journalism Network and the Explorers Club, Cayte is dedicated to changing media narratives toward amplifying constructive pathways for environmental sustainability. She is also an experienced host, having facilitated discussions across platforms like VICE News, and the Global Biodiversity Festival. In recognition of her contributions to biodiversity conservation, Discovery Channel named her among the “5 Women Defending the Wild.”
