Ron Baron

United States/Israel
Online MSL Candidate ’27

Ron works as a research advocacy coordinator at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, where she is driven to advance ethical, human-based research policies through legislative advocacy, scientific analysis, and public engagement. She regularly reviews literature in the biomedical sciences, translates complex findings for policymakers and stakeholders, and represents her organization at international conferences presenting original research.

Ron holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Idaho, where her capstone research focused on urban biodiversity trends, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, graduating summa cum laude. She completed a data analytics certificate program with training in SQL, Python, Tableau, and Excel to further her skillset in the use of data to drive positive change for animals. Her research experience spans biodiversity, neurobiology, and behavioral sciences, and she is a coauthor on multiple peer-reviewed publications.

Through the Animal Law MSL program, Ron seeks to strengthen her legal knowledge to become a more effective advocate, advance the replacement of animals in research, deepen her understanding of broader animal protection needs, and promote policies that safeguard animals, public health, and the environment, as these are all inextricably linked. Her ultimate dream is to see devastating systems like factory farming, animal trafficking, and animals used in research become a thing of the past.
