Our student chapter of the Animal Legal Defense Fund is devoted to enhancing the welfare and legal status of all nonhuman animals. Animal advocacy intersects with all aspects of human identity, including species, race, gender, disability, and socioeconomic status. Facilitated by CALS faculty, this discussion will explore the relationship between animal advocacy and human social-justice movements, as well as the impact of identity on animal advocates’ experiences.
